Samsung E900 - Sophisticated Simplicity

Saturday, October 20th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Ben_Bradley]Ben Bradley The latest fashion solution from Samsung, the E900 draws a lot of comparison with the LG Chocolate. The Samsung E900 is less complicated in design but is much more interesting functionality-wise. This slider sports the complete sleek look with its sophisticated black glossy plastic casing and glass-like touch-sensitive control pad. The large TFT display remains largely invisible when in standby mode but lights up brightly with 256K colours. The sleek slider from Samsung includes a long feature list that put other fashion phones to shame. The phone supports tri-band GSM network and have 80 Mb embedded memory which is expandable up to 2GB with microSD memory cards. You can view your Word, Excel, Power-point and PDF files with the Document viewer. And if you think the numbers are too large for the display, watch them on your TV screen with TV output. The Samsung E900 have an integrated 2.0 megapixel camera with CMOS image sensor. Armed with digital zoom and flash, the camera captures all that is expected and unexpected in accurate and vibrant colours. It also supports video recording so that you can shoot, save and share live events around you. The handset also includes a media player that plays MP3/AAC/ACC+/WMA formats in high quality sound. Connectivity in any form with the Samsung E900 is fast and effortless. High Internet speed powered by Class 10 GPRS/EDGE is comparable with the broadband. Browsing the Internet for any content or information is painless with the WAP 2.0/xHTML browser. Importantly the phone can also be used as a modem in case you want to access Internet from your PC or laptop. Get connected with any compatible external device for fast transfer and sharing of files via Bluetooth and USB. Work hard or chill out, look good while doing it with Samsung E900. How To Give Women What They Want and Need-The Forgotten Method of Wooing

Friday, October 19th, 2007

By Jon Owen Remember When? When you were in elementary school, high school, and maybe even college, when you had something to say to your girlfriend, fiance or what-have-you, what was the medium you used to convey those special thoughts? The handwritten note. If you didnt use this method, where were you in your youthin your cupboard underneath the stairs? Something to Think About Heres something for you to chew onwhen you receive a letter from a friend or relative, what do you expect–maybe a printed letter, right? Okay, thats fine. But what do you expect to see at the end of that letter? A handwritten signature! Well, at least I do. Theyre your friends; they are supposed to take the time to scribble their name at the closing of a letter to you. If it happens to be one of those form business letters that were crafted to look and sound as though someone important were writing directly to you, I turn it over and look for the impressions that would be left if they had actually signed it themselves. And if there are no impression, then I usually disregard anything nice that was said in the entire letter. Why? Because it doesnt have the quality of at least a bonafide signature. Why Is That? Why do we feel this way? Theres some psychology to it, but thats not really within the scope of this article. But heres the general feel of what it is. When you write to your significant other, wife of many years or newlywed, girlfriend, or something more, she wants to know that you took the time to write to her. You sat down, wherever you were, and took that pen in your hand and wrote your heart out onto that paper just for her. It gives her that sense of intimacy that she has been looking for between the lines of those computer-generated characters youve been sending her. Nostalgia for the Good Old Days When we write something with good old-fashioned pen and paper, we put time and effort into it. Thats what shes wanting. Not a printed letter or an e-mailthats the fast and easy way out. If you give her a printed letter off of your computer or send her an e-mail, its not going to have a tenth of the impact as it would if it had been handwritten. Is the Intimacy and Romance Gone? After a while we tend to lose that sense of intimacy and romanticism, which flourished and came so naturally to us as our love for each other blossomed. Women are mysterious beings, but this is one thing I know for sure. I have been married for a while now and my wife still loves to receive the sloppy scraps of paper I give her. What If I Dont Know Her Address! If you have a love, but youve never met her before because its an online passion youve found, you can still give her the satisfaction of a handwritten letter. Just write it, then scan, fax, or even take a digital picture of it and send it to her via the Internet. Im sure that would have some of the same effects as a tangible letter would. Winterizing Tips for Your Lawn and Garden

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

By John Biondi Your outdoor plants have worked hard for you all summer, making your yard a place youre proud to call home. Properly winterizing your lawn and garden is an important step toward healthy soil, lush grass, and happy plants next year. Remember to take care of your outdoor accessories, including your lawn equipment, gardening tools, and all of your lawn and garden decor. A little time spent this autumn will make your gardening and landscaping efforts easier and more enjoyable next spring! Lets start with the easy jobs - First remember to store all of your lawn and garden decor including fragile planters, gazing balls, and your deck furniture. Unglazed terra cotta planters left filled with soil outside will often break in the freezing temperatures so it is best to clean them and place them in a storage area where they are protected from the elements. Autumn is the time to find your birdfeeders and to start stocking your winter feeding pantry. Soon your many feathered friends will be flocking to your feeders for that nutritious morsel. Remember to keep your feeders full through the winter as the birds need reliable food sources through the winter months. Now that youve done the easy tasks, lets move on to the more mundane winterizing chores. Start by simply cleaning up the vegetable garden. After the first hard frost, remove the years annual plants and the dead vegetation. You can add this material to your compost pile, but make sure youre not adding material from diseased or pest-infested plants. Youll want to pull perennial weeds before you mulch your garden down for the winter. The best part of fall landscape chores is planting the spring-blooming bulbs. Crocus, tulips, and daffodils are a beautiful addition to the early spring landscape. In the yard theres the major job of raking leaves. These are great either in the compost pile or as direct mulch on the garden. Perennial flowers may be smothered by a heavy layer of mulch, however. Also, wait to prune your trees until later in the winter. After the ground freezes you can mulch your perennial flowers and newly planted trees. Certain shrubs will need to be wrapped in burlap to protect them from wind damage, sun scald, and other winter injury. Moving on to the mechanical tasks of winterizing your lawn and garden - While you might try to procrastinate on these jobs until spring, youll be well rewarded for the maintenance you perform this fall. Drain the gas from your lawnmower and string trimmer. Actually its best to let your mowers and trimmers simply run out of fuel. If you dont want to waste that little bit of fuel, add a gas conditioner before the long winter. Be sure to follow directions. Also, take the same care with your gardening equipment such as your rotary tiller. Clean all of your landscaping equipment before you store it away for the long, cold winter. Wash with soap and water, clean the air filter, and change the oil. Youll find that first lawn mowing job in the spring a little bit easier if you take time to sharpen the blades now. You can protect that freshly sharpened blade by applying a little spray oil to the blades. You can also apply light spray oil to other moving parts such as cables and the throttle controls. Lastly, drain all of the water from the garden hoses and turn off the taps. Be sure to store your insecticides, herbicides, and fertilizers in a safe storage area that will not freeze. Make sure these materials are kept away from children and pets! Copyright www.bestlawnandgarden.com, All Rights Reserved. John Biondi is a frequent contributor to Best Lawn and Garden. Alzheimer’s Disease and Animal Therapy

Sunday, October 14th, 2007

By Sylvie Leochko My mother-in-law was diagnosed with Alzheimers disease at the young age of 51 years old. It was not until the death of her husband that her condition worsened at a faster pace. As her life was gradually taken over by Alzheimer, both her sons discussed the possibility of adopting a dog to keep her company. She never had a dog before but had displayed patient and a loving attitude towards the neighbors pet. Despite her objections as she was a woman that did not want anyone to fuss over her as she was used to care for others, both her children decided to get her one anyway. A puppy to keep her company As months went by, my husband got tired of waiting for his brothers approval about a certain breed and did some research. He soon discovered that the best breed for his mother may be a Labrador retriever. During a short trip, a bit later, he visited a pet shop and fell in love with a Chocolate Labrador puppy. The next day, the puppy was on the road, excited at the prospect of meeting his new mistress. From a pet to animal therapy Despite her repeated objections, like her son, she fell in love with this adorable puppy that she later named Cocoa. As time went by he became more than a pet, he was her best friend. She felt needed and useful again. He was always by her side, comforting her and keeping a watchful eye on her. When Alzheimer started to take over her world, he never leaved her sight of stopped being affectionate; on the contrary, he was always there for her. He put a smile on her face with his clumsy ways; he forgave her when she was mad at him thinking that he was responsible for the voices that she heard or for her mistakes. He never left her side when she was sick and always included her by making sure that she was not alone and was joining us often. When he felt that something was odd or wrong, he would get our attention and guide us to check on her. Cocoa was solid, strong, patient and loved her unconditionally. Always part of her world As her condition worsened, she became more distant, enclosed in her own world. Despite that fact, her dog was always part of it. Even at night, he was keeping a watchful eye on her. He was there to help her mourn the loss of her rabbit. He was there to comfort her through difficult times. Loneliness was never part of her life since the first day she met him. I truly believe that he is the reason why Alzheimers disease took the slow route with her as her dog made her happier and prevented her to become anxious and depressed and helped her more than any treatment or medication. And he was there for her, good days, bad daysuntil the end. The following year, we noticed how much he missed her. Approximately a full year later, he passed onhopefully back by her side. He was her ray of sunshine and made a difference in her life. That is why I would encourage anyone to not only see an animal as a pet but also be aware of the unlimited benefits of animal therapy. In this case, this young Labrador retriever may not have represented a cure for Alzheimers disease, but it changed the quality of life of the woman suffering from it, making it worthwhile. As my mother-in-law lived with us, I had the opportunity to notice, observe or appreciate the benefits of animal therapy in her life. I also am aware of other types of animal therapy, their benefits and the services provided to patients. Marketing Added Value

Friday, October 12th, 2007

By Daniel Wadleigh As thoroughly described, many times, its added values that separate you from the pack. This then elicits the critical response, Id be nuts not to buy from these guys. In order to accomplish this, first take a look at What is Your Market and determine what your customer is really looking for from your product or service. Once you have a handle on what they want (usually one of the 4 basic human desires, as described later), you can better add values to exceed Brand X in delivering what they want. Some examples of the kind of added values may be better ways to: hold it (handles on things); sip it (pop tops on beverage cans); pour it (spouts); digest it (added enzymes); start it (extra battery, push buttons); get rid of it (storage bags, mulcher); install it (included fasteners, tools, instruction video, 1-800 help line); transport it (handles, carrying case, easy disassembly); paint it (prepared surface); replace it (easy insert, duplicates, 1- 800 number); use it (light weight, additional instructions or information not normally available from Brand X that make it idiot proof or more readily understandable). In addition to accessories, it is added value to include other values of a complimentary nature. For example, a subscription to the Wall Street Journal gets Guide to Personal Finance; cooking ware products include a cook book; a lawn mower with a guide to healthy lawn; a restaurant that promotes nutritional highlights. (Note: any repeat business should include regular changes in information to entice them to return.) A printer might include a guide to writing ads; a tire store could include a safe driving guide. The point is, give them more than the other guys and make it important stuff - not filler. The cost of not doing business with you needs to hurt! The secret- you need to communicate the added value to your customers. I have seen many good added values sitting in corners, collecting dust. Make it a part of your advertising and bother to train all employees on why doing business with you is superior to Brand X. Make it an important part of your business, because it is! Lighting your Garden with Perennial Bulbs

Friday, October 12th, 2007

By Maureen Cook What are perennial bulbs? Bulb is a general term used by gardeners for plants which are highly condensed; their embryonic roots, stem, leaves and flower are all contained within them. Their resting period will end and growth begin when optimum moisture and temperature conditions exist. These conditions vary as different bulbs have different flowering and resting periods, but as perennials they will die down and produce new growth year on year. Perennial bulbs are easily grown, and can provide wonderful color in the garden all year round. The vast range of perennial bulbs available means you can have dramatic, vibrant color or, if you prefer, more muted, restful shades. The garden has been described as a series of outdoor rooms. So, switch on the spotlight for bold splashes of tulips and daffodils in the spring; switch on the dimmer and, in the fall and winter, enjoy the tapestry of pastel shades created by a carpet of blue crocuses or pink cyclamens. Before planting perennial bulbs it would be useful to consult the color wheel. Imagine a clock face divided into six, ten-minute sections. Starting at twelve o’clock, and turning clockwise, we move through.the color spectrum: green, blue, violet, red, orange and yellow. Colors from opposite segments of the circle will produce the most dramatic effects: violet tulips and golden daffodils, for example. Colors from adjacent segments produce a more muted effect: purple crocuses and the beautiful blue starry bells of scillas. The hot colors are found mainly in perennial bulbs which flower in late spring and summer. Tulips, crocosmias and the stately cannas all offer dramatic color at this time. Crocosmias and cannas all offer dramatic color at this time. Crocosmias and cannas will have their vibrancy muted to an extent by their bold, architectual leaves. In a mixed border, you can turn on the spotlight by planting a large perennial bulb such as a canna: its foliage will create the drama as much as its color. By contrast, using cool perennial bulbs of pale blue, blue pink and even pale primrose, can make a very restful display, particularly in an arrangement of patio containers or in sinuous drifts winding through a border. A truly breathtaking sight is a random planting of cool perennial bulbs in your garden, under a deciduous tree, for example, which copies, on a small scale, a woodland setting. Muscari, colchicums and bluebells will lend a quiet charm to your miniature woodland garden. The dimmer switch has been turned down low. Of course, coolness is often associated with white. But the component colors of the color wheel, including the hot ones, together make white light. It is in this combination of white-hot that some of the most exquisite effects can be achieved with perennial bulbs. Scattered through spring and fall borders, when light levels are less intense, the vertical accents of the white snakes’ head fritillary, white tulips and the milky-white flowers of the cochicums help create a quiet drama. Both the spotlight and the dimmer are on together. Irresistible plant perennial bulbs in the garden for stunningly beautiful, year-round color. 2006 Maureen P CookMaureen Cook shows you how the wonderful range ofcolors found in perennial bulbs can light up your garden. To find out more about Perennialbulbs, Click Here Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Maureen_Cook http://EzineArticles.com/?Lighting-your-Garden-with-Perennial-Bulbs&id=162330 buy ultram online buy tramadol on line tramadol prescriptions tramadol online overnight

Causing trauma to your nails can increase the chance that you could catch a fungal infection by causing damage to the nails. 3. Bring your own implements that have been properly sanitized when having manicuring services performed at a salon. 4. Avoid wearing nail polish or acrylic nails that seal the surface of you nails. These can trap moisture against you nails and prevent them from proper exposure to the air. Opt for a natural nail buffing instead. 5. Keep your finger and toenails clean and maintain them at a healthy length. excessively short or long nails can cause stress on the nail bed which can lead to injury. The Journey Into Prophetic Worship

Sunday, October 7th, 2007

By Pablo Perez The Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way (Ex. 13:21, NIV). During the exodus of the people of Israel, God guided them on their path. The people of Israel did not go in the direction that they wanted; they followed the way that God marked out for them with the cloud. The Scriptures reveal that this cloud was not something, but rather someone… Where is the one who brought Israel through the sea, with Moses as their shepherd? Where is the one who sent his Holy Spirit to be among his people? …As with cattle going down into a peaceful valley, the Spirit of the Lord gave them rest. You led your people, Lord (Is. 63:1114, NLT). By saying, who sent his Holy Spirit to be among his people and the Spirit of the Lord gave them rest. You led your people, Lord… Isaiah points that the cloud was a representation, or a symbol of the Holy Spirit. Can the Holy Spirit direct us in leading corporate worship? Of course, not only He can but He desires to. Those who want to transition into leading prophetic corporate worship have to discern where the cloud is going and follow it… Very often, our slavery to programs obstructs us from seeing what the Holy Spirit desires to do (programs and structures are necessary, but they must be subject to us, not the other way around). As ministers, we must pay close attention to God’s leading, before and during the service. He is not predictable as we are. The way the Lord leads could be different every time. The path is not the same from one day to the next, and the direction that worked yesterday may not be the one that works today. (When using the word Way or Path Im referring to a specific direction given by the Holy Spirit, before or during the service). Moving With the Cloud The people of Israel moved when the cloud moved. When it rested in a place, they rested until it moved again. When the cloud lifted from over the sacred tent, the people of Israel followed it. And wherever the cloud settled, the people of Israel camped. In this way, they traveled at the Lords command and stopped wherever he told them to (Num. 9:17- 18, NLT. See also Ex. 40:36-37). Israel had to daily observe the cloud. They were in the desert and did not know the way. They depended on the cloud to keep them from getting lost or taking the wrong turn. The book of Numbers declares: they traveled at the Lords command. The cloud revealed when to move, in what direction, and when to stop. When leading corporate worship, sensitivity to the Holy Spirit its key. He knows what the congregation needs… If we make room for Him, He will give us new songs, words and heavenly melodies that will change the atmosphere and renew the strength of His people.
